New Year's Eve with Brooke and Kean

In 2011 we have so much to look forward to, including fantastic new clients. We loved nothing more than ringing in this new year with Brooke and Kean at their gorgeous and fun Hinsdale wedding on December 31st. It was truly a celebration of new beginnings, and we wish Brooke and Kean all the luck and love they deserve in their new home of London, England!

Katie and Pete's Engagement Shoot

This weekend we have the pleasure of shooting Katie and Pete's wedding at The Newberry Library in Chicago. So, when pondering this week's blog entry, they of course came to mind. We met Katie back in the Fall of 2009 when she attended Anand and Shivani's wedding at the Chicago Marriot. One thing we love about shooting weddings is meeting all of the fun and fabulous guests, and when those guests become clients themselves we feel especially lucky. Katie and Pete are definitely one cool couple, and we are excited their big day is here.

Wendy and JP with the Stanley Cup

The streets of Chicago were already packed with Stanley Cup celebrations, with the fantastic wedding of Wendy and JP in the middle of all the State Street Festivities. The energy radiating from this beautiful couple was only enhanced when the Stanley Cup itself made an appearance at the hip Wit rooftop after party. The Blackhawks themselves were on hand to perform what we think might just be the best add-on to any wedding tradition we've seen this year: drinking from the legendary Stanley Cup. This was the party of the summer and we were honored to be a part of this special night. What a lucky couple: wedded bliss and the coolest wedding photos in Chicago that weekend.

Monica and Keith's Wedding

Monica and Keith danced the night away only one block away from the famous Wrigley building, and the heart of Michigan Ave. Their daringly fun personalities brought us not only to an alley mural for some urban imagery, but also into a drug store for some emergency late night flip flops! Few if any brides we have photographed had more fun than Monica!

Michelle and Phil's Engagement

Michelle and Phil enjoyed a fantastic day downtown as we made our way across the city. Ending at the Art Institute, these two have a day to remember on the town and some fantastic photos too. These two were shy at first but after the first 500 photos or so they really opened up.

Lisa and Darren's Wedding

Lisa and Darren were the epitome of cool on their wedding day. Their MCA Warehouse blowout included a groom's cake shaped like an electric guitar and a consistently packed dance floor. They were even up for an ultra-cool goodnight shot in the MCA loading dock filled with painting crates.

Margarita and Andrew got the best of both worlds for their wedding day shoot, from the fabulous streets of Chicago to a lush ceremony in the outdoors of a neighboring suburb. The photo shoot even took a detour to the couple's eclectic North Side Apartment.
